About

I'm a junior AI software engineer with a background that spans automation, mobile development, AI systems, and healthcare informatics. I'm currently finishing my MSc in IT Systems in Healthcare at Politehnica University of Timișoara while on Erasmus at the University of Augsburg in Germany.

Right now, I work at Siena AI, where I help keep production AI agents reliable and high-quality. My focus is on GPT evaluation, prompt engineering, debugging AI behavior, and making sure the autonomous customer support platform actually works well in the real world. It's the kind of work where you're constantly balancing speed with quality, and where small improvements to a prompt can change thousands of customer interactions.

But what drives me most is the intersection of AI and healthcare: building software that doesn't just work, but works for people.

Outside of work, I've competed in biotech hackathons across Europe, earned a teaching certification, and I'm currently learning German (slowly but surely). I care about clean code, thoughtful design, and making complex things feel simple.

Automated CIMT Measurement from Ultrasound Using Deep Learning with Uncertainty Estimation

For my master's thesis, I'm developing a deep learning approach to automatically measure carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) from ultrasound images, a key non-invasive marker for cardiovascular risk. The system combines image segmentation with uncertainty estimation to flag cases where predictions may be unreliable, supporting safer integration into clinical screening workflows.

CardioInsight: Mobile App for Cardiovascular Health Monitoring and Risk Assessment

Built a full-stack mobile application for monitoring cardiovascular health and predicting disease risk. The app lets users input health data, receive a cardiovascular risk assessment powered by a machine learning classifier, track their wellness score over time, and get personalized lifestyle recommendations.
